Neck opening measurement - It has to also fit over your pet's head
Chest - Girth, largest part of chest behind front legs
Length - measured from the base of the neck to the bottom
For best fit your pet's chest should be at least 1-2" less
than actual chest measurement of the vest...mfgs suggested weight is ONLY a starting point, your dog's measurements are most important
This vest does have a bit of give to it, but it's best to strive for a comfortable fit not a snug fit.

Putting on the Gooby Fleece Vest
1)Bunch up the vest much like you would a t shirt you'd put on, putting the neck opening over your dog's head....chin/nose in first then up and over the head
2) Once you have the vest over the head, then put each front leg through the leg openings one at a time
3) Once legs are through you can pull the vest down over your pet's back
The easier you make putting it on the less they will struggle to wear it.
Taking it off just reverse the process.
